ACT Prep Classes

Both the in-person workshop and the online class are based on content from The Real ACT Prep Guide, and it is required for both the in-person and online class.

Why do we need this book? The TESTS.

Let’s cut this intimidating book up and take out what we actually need: the six tests, the answer keys and the raw score charts in the back. Put each test into a binder with sheet protectors, and let’s get to work.

The Online Class

$295

In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic brought Test Prep Mom in-person classes to an abrupt halt. My calendar was suddenly cleared.

Read more below about how we were challenged to use this time of shutdown to create an online class and how it has helped families throughout the United States.

The In-Person Workshop

$350

We typically offer 3-4 in-person workshops a month, typically in the Central Ky area. Students who register for the in-person workshop also get access to the online class ($295) for two additional years. This is a great value!

Test Prep Mom is also used in KY schools and those classes are not promoted on the website.

Host an In-Person Class

Free

A typical in-person workshop is approximately 15 students, depending on the venue size. Hosts secure the venue and help promote the class.

In return, the host’s child attends for free and receives all of the same benefits as a child who registers for the in-person workshop through the website.

Why do I need ACT test prep, anyway?

The ACT is a standardized test that is much less about what you know than it is about how well you test. How fast can you process information and come to a correct conclusion? How well can you look for key concepts that are repeated throughout the test, and answer consistently? ACT test prep is a way to practice the test, and to take the test with confidence. This course prepares students to do their very best each time they take the ACT.

What is ACT test prep?

The ACT is unlike any test students have taken before. It’s very common for bright and gifted students to get mediocre scores on the ACT. The brutal time constraint and the intimidating questions often leave even the best of students dismayed. The solution: Build confidence by learning the test.

When are ACT test prep classes available?

Visit Test Prep Mom calendar for all upcoming classes; we add new classes almost every week. Keep in mind that classes fill up quickly, and we do have a cap on how many students can attend each class, depending on the size of the venue. If a class isn’t offered in your area, or if the class is full, the online class is a great option.

Who is the ACT test for?

I recommend starting ACT test prep as a sophomore, although most of the students in my classes are juniors. Because students will have access to the online version of the class for two additional years, sophomore or junior year is an ideal time to begin your ACT test prep journey.

Where are the in-person classes available?

Classes are held primarily in Central, Eastern, and Western Kentucky . If you are interested in hosting a class, please reach out here for more information.
